Q Will the floor medallion or floor insert affect how I clean my floor?
A You can clean your floor with any off the shelve timber cleaner as medallions and inserts are finished with hardened floor lacquer.

Q Who can install them for me?
A It is advisable to use a professional installer.

Q Can they be installed to an existing floor?
A Yes they certainly can. A professional installer will create a jig to route out the square required and with a little chisel work on the corners the medallion or inserts will sit perfectly.

Q Do you create medallions to order?
A We certainly do. However as our medallions are handmade, there are limitations. Generally we create medallions to match corner blocks for door trim.

Q What lifespan can I expect from any of your inserts?
A As the saying goes "How long is a piece of string." The lifespan will certainly be longer than the craftsman who created it.

Q Can I use corner blocks as floor inserts?
A Please state your use as inserts for floor are generally thicker. They may be installed into an un-finished floor which may possibly be sanded after installation.

Q Do you vary the combinations of wood in medallions and corner blocks?
A If requested we will, however we generally work from a standard line which you will find in our products page.
